E is for Elvis Impersonators on ABC Wednesday

An Elvis hired to perform at a business meeting dinner. He sang a few songs and swooned some of the women.

Saw this one in Las Vegas this past Christmas Eve.

Saw this one dancing at a local community event. After he saw me photographing him, he handed me his business card to let me know he was for hire.

This is my friend Kenny as Elvis Trooper.

Here are a few pictures of Elvis impersonators I photographed over the years. Because we had the President's Day holiday on Monday, I totally forgot it was ABC Wednesday already until I started visiting my regular blogs.

Thinking it was only Tuesday, see my extra post below.

I can never figure out why this fascination with Elvis, and it's all over the world, not just in America. why arent there a host of james brown impersonators, for instance? or john lennon lookalikes roaming Vegas. hmmm.

Elvis lives forever....! :) Through all his fan`s.
But did he leave the building? ;)

Deb: I never really gotten into Elvis either, but so many people want to impersonate him. Go figure.

Ida: As far as I know, he did leave the building, but I guess he lives on, as you say, through his fans.

What a neat idea to do Elvis! I guess you had to grow up in his age to appreciate him. He was a one of a kind original and I love his music but his movies are disgraceful. lol

"Elvis has left the building" - or so I have thought.

Thanks everyone for your comments. It appears Elvis is still popular as ever and living around the world. I guess imitation is the best compliment, but no one can be THE original.

Dragonstar: Thanks! But, I can't take all the credit for a last minute post because I try to plan a few days ahead. :)

I don't get it either - I was more of a Beatles fan myself. But your post did make me laugh - a lot. I particularly like your friend Kenny - the Elvis/Star Wars combo is inspired

All: Kenny has gotten a niche here although I have yet to hear him sing. If anyone feels like belting out an Elvis song, please go ahead. My favorite is "Suspicious Minds".

As usual, thank you all for visiting and commenting! :)
