This is the Veterans Memorial close to downtown San Jose, California. The 76 white flags is of a neutral color to pay tribute to soldiers of all wars. The panels is of pictures of local soldiers and their letters back home.
What a delightful tribute, I doubt I could read the letters without a tear in my eye. Just wonderful
One must not forget!
So many lives given to the war gristmill...
Oh my, this is really touching. I'm most taken by the ghost of the men behind their letters.
What a wonderful memorial. Kind of sad to see the letter and the photos of the men. Great photos!
Great shots Karen! Happy WW!
Very special.
Nice memorial.
There must be a lot of history. There is also similar museums in my neighborhood.
I have to imagine the letters were extremely moving. What a wonderful tribute. Thanks for joining us at Wordless Wednesday Bloggers! If you haven't signed up for a weekly reminder, visit http://blogspot.us6.list-manage.com/subscribe?u=9d56ff30cd54c78c00854a636&id=0bee5a3c1d
