Betchai: This was taken during my trip to Beijing in 2009. If you happen to be in the neighborhood someday, it's located in the same area as the Temple of Heaven.
Sukhmandir Kaur: It looks like it has almost everything you need as a tourist.
The shop maybe be tiny, but it offers a wide variety of stuff. I wonder if it is like the shops in tourist areas in London, which are notoriously expensive?
Catsynth: Then you must've stopped by this kiosk for a look.
Lina: It's amazing some of the moden stuff it had next to this historical site.
Louis: Funny, it didn't occur to me that it is like an outdoor 7-Eleven.
London: You can probably bargain with the shopkeeper, but probably not so in London.
Stevebethere: Thanks! I guess it kind of blends into the same color as the historical buildings in the background.
LifeRamblings: And they all offer cheesy touristy stuff.
Carol: And, if it doesn't have it, another similar shop might.
Tracy: Some look like key chains. I think they are sample photos of costumes you can wear to have your photo taken and put on a key chain? It's just a guess. The outfits behind the A-frame boards are ones you can try on.

Irresistible that's one enticing little shop I wouldn't be able to pass up.

I've been to the Temple of Heaven in Beijing!
The particular ornate stonework and the little shop are both common sites there.
Love the assortment of colour of the merchandise and with the traditional looking setting. :)

A compact "7-11" in Bejing..

Excellent photo love the old shop and the colour :-)
thanks for stopping by and a happy WW! to you
such shops are everywhere in China, especially in tourist areas.
Great shot! A little shop with everything it seems.
what are the displays on the right hand side of the photo? lottery tickets?
That shop wouldn't last 2 minutes here, shoplifters would have a field day.
