Cruising out of Tampa Bay, Florida

On a recent cruise out of Tampa, Florida's port, here are various sites we passed along the way like this lighthouse. I could not locate its name, but with land protruding out into the water, it seems like an appropriate place for a lighthouse.

We also passed this light plane airport.

When I first saw this plane, I thought it was waiting for our ship to sail by before taking off, but on second thought, there was no runway. In actuality, it was advertising to passing sailors to learn to fly.

As darkness approached, we sailed underneath the Sunshine Skyway Bridge. To learn more about this bridge, click here.

Great aerial shots, i especially like the lighthouse seems to be on a island all by itself.

Karren, your images reveal the beautiful serene scenery of the country.

So soothing and this is the best photo therapy I have today!

Neat shots, the first one almost looks like a model. I love the bridge shot.

The plane at the end of the grass is a hoot...looks like it got lost! Love the bridge photo.

Thank you all for your comments.

It took several attempts to take the bridge photo. It appears it was dusk, but in actuality it was pitch dark except for bridge lights in the distance. Without Photoshop, the sky and the water would just be black.

By the way, these were shots from a cruise ship 12 stories up and not aerial shots.

Hey, Great Photos. The Sea Link may be an architectural wonder for India but I like the bridge in your post more. Also we have quite a few similar photos considering similar subject or similar angles. Wonder if you'd seen The Light House on Pixellicious Photos

Thanks for sharing these pics and your comments.
