Fountain of Rings at Atlanta's Centennial Olympic Park. Kids and adults alike love to guess when the random jets of water will spout upward. This was still open in September when I visited, but has since been closed due to the severe drought in the area.I guess these are seagulls all staring in random directions while sunning themselves on the beach.Random flames shoot up into the air as this cook cleans the grill before the next barbeque. These random sets of rails of a rollercoaster intrigued me with their complexity.- AV

That's a great collection of photos for R. Also I think we might be having your share of the rain at the moment!
Loved the diversity of all of the pictures. A very imaginative choice.
Dx
Very nice R post. Of course my favorite is the fountain of rings!
those fountains are all the rage these days - I remember when I did computing writing BASIC and you had you use "random-number generator"
Great "R" post. All the pictures look great.
great collection, a lot of thought had to go into this
Nice collection of photos.
Have a nice holiday.
Random....very nice post! Good ABC Wednesday....The Roller coaster ....not for me!
What a great post! We have a similar fountain in Boston, but I've never seen it as crowded with happy kiddos as the one in your picture.
Absolutely love the photo of the cook cleaning the grill. Wonderful shot!
Happy Thanksgiving, AV! :)
The fountain is my favourite, movement, humanity, water, all three things in one shot always make a great picture.
Thanks Mike. I didn't think of Rain since we haven't had much lately.
Denise, I had another set of R pictures in mind, but at the last minute that they were more appropriate for S.
Thanks Dot, I liked the action shot of the people in the fountain too.
Thanks Neva. I didn't think of Rollercoaster for R. Oh well, next time.
Ackworth, BASIC was the first computer language I learned and I remember building a random number generator circuit in school. Thanks for the memories.
Thanks Andrea for commenting. Glad you like the post.
Lilli & Nevada, I think I'm running low on my archive photos so this will give me an excuse to go out and take more. :)
Thanks Digital Flower, Happy Thanksgiving to you too!
Thanks Fenix. That is a great fountain in Boston. I'm sorry I missed it on my last visit although all the water would've probably froze. Regarding the cook, I like candid action shots. Happy Thanksgiving to you too!
Kate Isis, you're right, the fountain photo does have those elements you mentioned. I'll have to keep that in mind for future shots.
That water jets look like a lot of fun! The birds and the BBQ hold my attention but that roller coaster is a complete no go for me I'd pass out with sheer terror! Great choices.
I've read your captions beneath your right fine photos and am glad that you went through rigamarole it took to post all of your R photos.
I like the coaster shot.

Walksfarwoman, I'm not too fond of roller coasters now either so I can understand how you feel. And the scarier they are, the longer the line to wait to get on.
Lynette, Rigamarole is right. I'm sure glad I archived many old photos just for such an emergency.
Oswegan, If only I could've caught someone screaming coming down the coaster too. :)
Great concept images! The fountain looks like fun and the gulls is my favorite!
Thanks kml. The gulls were just standing around so I couldn't resist taking their picture.
Very nice pics. Those kids look like they're having fun. That barbeque fire is pretty scary.
Thanks Web-oj. The flames did look dangerous and the cook was too close in my opinion.
