Save Internet Radio

SaveNetRadio.org

How many people listen to internet radio?

My regular radio stations have too many commercials and almost never play my favorite tunes. And, I'm too cheap to get satellite radio. So, I normally turn to my favorite online channels.

Lo and behold, I logged onto my favorite site yesterday, Live365.com and found out that beginning July 15th (retroactive to January 1, 2006), royalty rates for webcasters will go up 300% to 1200% which means many internet radio sites will go out of business.

Senators Ron Wyden and Sam Brownback have introduced legislation called the "Internet Radio Equality Act" which would prevent this from happening. To found out more on how you can help, go to SaveNetRadio.org

Okay, I'm getting off my soapbox now.

I love rockin out to the radio while on on my pc (I am jammin right now!). My friend showed me Screamer Radio a couple of months back it is the "watch yo' mouth"! It's got all kinds of genres/channels. I hope they don't take it down. You can download it at:
screamer-radio.com (exactly how it is, with the dash/hyphen)

Once you got it, click the 'Presets' tab and search away. If have any questions, let me know.

I am off for now, my cousin came to Vegas and is getting married today at 2:30pm. Take care, AV, you'll have a wonderful weekend.

Hi Big Scott, Thanks for your comments as usual and pointing me to a new internet radio site.

How was the wedding? Hope it was nice. Were there any Elvis' attending? ;)

The wedding was nice. It was at the Chapel of the West and it only lasted like 10 minutes. They get each couple in and out and get the next wedding in and out. The highlight of the day, besides hanging out with family and friends, was the reception at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. Good eatin, AV, good eatin (especially the shrimp with remoulade sauce). Didn't see and Elvis's but I did see a lot of photographers so I passed out some Wallhogs Moo cards (made from moo.com).

Yeah you right, AV. Every where you go in Vegas, they are passing out some sort of cards or VIP passes so I figured I might as well join in and do some promoting of my own. I can't wait till we launch Swamble, we'll be promoting big time on the strip!
