Before I begin my first post of the year, I hope everyone had a wonderful New Year celebration! How did you celebrate or did you celebrate?Continuing on with my road trip report...
This is the only dog park in Palm Springs and it is behind the City Hall. There is a small dog side and a large dog side like in most dog parks I've been to. Since we were traveling with Maverick, we initially brought him to the small dog area.I suspect most of the people sitting around chatting are retired folks who meet there on a regular basis and talk for hours while their dogs play. Here is Maverick running at top speed and being chased by another dog for the ball in the big dog area. He was pooped out in no time and as they say...a tired dog is a happy dog. - Karen

Beautiful dog! I've never been to a dog park but it sounds like a really nice place for the dogs to be able to run free. We have a pet fence around our yard so our dog does have some freedom but the happiest I ever saw her was when the fence wasn't working and she got loose. She was running like crazy and would pay no attention to me calling her and she had a look of pure joy on her face. lol.
We stayed home as usual on New Year's eve.
Like your dog he definitley looks happy,we have dog parks around here too but i don't think they have one for small or big, altho i have never taken Princess to one. I would never think about letting her lose anywhere, she is always on a leash, for one she loves people too much and totally ignores me when she sees another human, someone could steal her in nothing flat.
Anyway did nothing for New Years as usual.
Happy New Year to you Karen!
Maverick looks like he enjoyed the dog park. Very good idea for a city.
We were at a local casino for New Years Eve. It was packed. I came out a few dollars ahead, that's a good start to the New Year. I normally lose and wonder why I even went to the casino.
My New Years resolution is to stay away from the casino.
The dog photo is truely astounding. Happy New Year to you, My friend!
I like it how your shot captured the ball in mid-air! Wish I had a dog park near my place...
Pure joy on four legs, running full-tilt, in pursuit of an attainable goal! What a photo!
Looks like the dogs like it, I guess the owners do also.
Thank you everyone for your comments. It was a joy seeing Maverick happy running at full speed and playing with other dogs.
I didn't do anything special either since I was vacationing Sedona, AZ and don't have any friends in that area to party with.
Karen...I am amazed....Maverick looks a lot like my Simon.....go here and see. Nice looking dog!!!
