AT&T Baseball Park, Part 1
This ballpark opened in March 2000 and it has really revitalized this once rundown part of San Francisco. Due to the flagship sponsor of the park changing its corporate name over and over again, the park has been named "PacBell Park", "SBC Park", and now "AT&T Park".
I have never been to this stadium before, but it is opened certain hours during the off-season to visitors. To me, there is always something exciting about a ballpark. Maybe because of its vastness - 6700 seats and 68 luxury suites.
When I visited this stadium, I took quite a number of photos so instead of bombarding you all at once, I thought I would break them up in palatable chunks.

I've heard this is a great ballpark to see a game in. It reminds me alot of the park in Seattle.

Oswegan, the park is conveniently located to public transportation and it seems more intimate than Candlestick Park where the Giants used to play.
I will have to show this to my son, he loves sports.
Lilli & Nevada, Let me know what he thinks. I could just imagine the hustle & bustle and excitement during game time.
I've only been to one ball park and that's Turner Field in Atlanta. We used to go to a couple games a year and it was a really great adventure for me. This looks like a wonderful ball park. I like the water and the fans out there trying to catch a ball. I hope you will go to a game one day if you've never been. It's very exciting!
Dot, I've only been to a half a dozen Giants baseball games and that was over 20 years ago when they used to play at Candlestick Park. I used to listen to lots of games on the radio as a kid which makes the game seem more nostalgic.
Bring it on! These photos and your descriptions are great. I can't get over that ice skating rink!
Thanks Lynette! Since it doesn't snow in San Francisco, this was the 2nd or 3rd open ice skating rink I saw last weekend set up for the public.
Very nice stadium. In India, it's cricket (a lot like baseball) that gets our heart to beat faster!
Web-OJ, I'll be interested to see how a stadium in India looks like. I don't know anything about cricket, but it's got to be faster than baseball. ;P
