A cable car inside a baseball stadium? I guess the hardcore drinkers come here to freshen up. This is probably a different Doggie Diner you might have remembered as a kid if you lived in San Francisco. Notice no reddish-brown Dachshund mascot head with a chef's hat and a bow tie. The price is steep, but I can sure use a crab sandwich just about now. If you ever come to San Francisco Fisherman's Wharf don't miss out on this yummy treat along with a bowl of clam chowder. You will need to click on this photo to read the inscription, but you don't see something like this everyday on top of an elevator. After looking through my pictures, there will definitely be a part 3. What you are looking at in these series of photos is on the 2nd level of the stadium since we weren't allowed to go onto the field level unless you purchased an ice skating ticket. Level 2 houses the concession stands, cable car, and a kid's playground. More on the playground later.
Don't forget to read Part 1 of this series if you haven't already done so.
Have a nice weekend!

Interesting part 1, loved part 2, can't wait for part 3. :)
A crab sammich, oh yes, that'd be nice.
Thanks Fenix! You probably can get a crab sammich where you are too! Yummo.
Hmmm Never had one sounds good, nice photos too, and i love the cable car
Yum! Yum! I love crabs. I don't know anything about baseball, but I'd love to go there just to eat the crab stuff.
Cool landscapes.
They should put a bar inside of the cable car. That would be fun.
There would probably be injuries.

This is a beautiful ball park and nice inscription on top of the elevator. Just one thing wrong with these parks...the prices are outrageous!
very very nice photos.
Last time I was in San Francisco (Which was a few years ago) I dined at a fantastic fish restaurant at Fisherman's Wharf. At least I think it was Fisherman's Wharf. Is that where all the piers are? Pier 39 and such like? Anyway I'd love to know the name of the place and maybe bring back some memories if they have a website. I'm hoping to revisit San Francisco in the not so distant future.
Looks like a fun place to go.
Thanks Lilli & Nevada. This is the only cable car you can ride for free since it doesn't go anywhere. The moving cable cars will cost riders $5!!!
Web-OJ, Baseball is fun to watch, but it can be a slow game which gives you a chance to eat more crab sandwiches.
Oswegan, not a bad idea about the bar inside the cable car although the steps from the cable car to the ground is pretty steep even for a sober person.
Dot, I agree with you about the outrageous price, but you are a captured audience sort of speak.
Mike, read Part 3 about Fisherman's Wharf & Pier 39. There is a famous restaurant in Fisherman's Wharf that just closed. Hopefully, it's not the one you remembered.
Neva/Andrea, Thanks for dropping by and commenting. Come back for Part 3.
