O is for Oceanfront View on ABC Wednesday
I love the ocean. The relaxing sounds of the waves, the soft breezes, the cool & wet sand below my feet, the cries of the seagulls, and sun beating above. In my younger days, I would take annual trips to the beach and just enjoy the afternoon there with my book.

Neva, I didn't have a car so I took public transportation to Coronado that looks like a cable car with the windows open. It was quite refreshing with all that wind in my face.

I want to go to Hawaii so bad. Thanks for posting a picture of Diamond Head, it is my favorite mountain.
My favourite is the rocks at la jolla. Its a kind of brooding photo.
It looks a lovely place. Now I feel like taking some time off work for a holiday.
Um... WOW... I want to be holidaying there. *pouts* makes Sydney look like child's play.
I have to say I especially like the first photo of the clouds, a lovely contrast and detail.

Dot, I agree that random clouds such as those are certainly interesting. It's hard to catch a bad day in San Diego.
Denise, I agree that the ocean really draws me in more than deserts, mountains, or meadows.
kml, the Penang picture was taken in 2002. Definitely a lovely part of the island.
Walksfarwoman, I would love to live by the ocean, but it's too expensive. And, there's the cold and fog one has to deal with, at least from the California coast.
Digital Flower Pics, the best time to go to Hawaii is between Sept. thru Nov. when it's the least expensive.
Mike, anytime is a good time for oceanfront vacation.
Stuart, I would think Sydney would have beautiful beaches? One of these days, I'll go to AU, but, celebrating Christmas in the summer feels strange to us northern hemisphere people. :)
