Bidet Anyone?

When I first started blogging, I always liked looking at strange or unusual pictures bloggers took and posted on their site. Although a bidet is not unusual, I thought it was strange to have it in a company bathroom.

Has anyone used one of these? I have not especially not in a public bathroom in case the water doesn't spray out correctly. ;P And, I have 2nd thoughts of using "clean" water coming out of a toilet. There are no instructions. Are you suppose to sit or stand for this? It looks like sitting in the picture. How much water pressure are you suppose to use? Any experienced people who can enlighten me?

Side Note: I'll be busy the next 2 weeks so you will probably see new updates only sparingly during this time.

What company has a bidet in their washrooms? I think you should give it a try and blog about it. :) The stick man instructions make it look like he's hovering over the bidet in an uncomfortable way.

Cheers,
Neil

Hey Neil, you made me laugh about the stick man instructions! Hahaha! This was at Google, but they don't have a bidet in each washroom. Not sure why this one was special since I'm only a visitor.

Yea, demonstrate it for us AV. ha ha. I have never seen a bidet, much less one like this. And I would share your concerns about "clean" water. UGH.
So, are you going to work for Google? If you are, you are a dog!!! ha ha. I heard they are just a fantastic company to work for! My posting will be sparse the next couple of weeks to...I'm off to Orlando for my job.

Hi Dana, Not sure I want to try it especially when there is a button for oscillation and pressure adjustments. Haha! No, I was just a visitor a Google. Have fun on your business trip to Orlando. Bring back some mouse ears! :P

I have no experience using one of these things! I also don't think that I ever want to experience one of these if I ever get the opportunity!

Hey, I found your blog through Blog Catalog. The photo in your header caught my attention because it's reminiscent of Ponte Vecchio in Florence. Is it a photo from San Francisco?

But on to bidets:

Many businesses have bidets in their washrooms here in Italy. I think there may even be a law requiring them. They don't look anything like the one in the picture you posted, though. Was it a combination toilet/bidet? I've heard those are popular in Japan. I'd be suspicious of 'clean' water from a toilet too. The bidets here are completely separate fixtures and to use them, you'd have to undress. That's why I don't really understand the ones in the workplace bathrooms. That just seems really weird to me.

Hi Shawn, I agree with you. I rather take a shower and not take a "half shower".

Hi KC, this bidet was at the Google headquarters in the U.S. Wow, I don't want to undress in a workplace bathroom to use it. I didn't use it when I saw one in my Japan hotel room. Maybe, I should try it next time so I can blog about it as Neil suggested. :P
