Reading Stall

I was at a local ice rink this past weekend and saw this reading material on the bathroom door of the women's restroom captured by my handy-dandy camera phone.

Nothing but advertisements. I wonder if these companies know their ads are ending up in a bathroom stall. Are they getting additional business because of these ads since they have a captured audience? Hmmm, one wonders....

hhhmmm and it makes me wonder, too, AV. I know, personally, when I am using the public restroom, I am looking to get in and get out, I ain't trying to browse the selections and shop around!

ps- never been/heard of that ice rink. it's in the city? I think the last ice rink I visited was in like a mall in Texas or something, (I think).

Big Scott, it's the Oakland Ice Center. I think ice rinks are a dying breed in the west coast, anyways.

Actually, I think probably they know where their ads are placed..maybe not..but I don't think its a half bad idea to have ads there. You ARE a captive audience by the way..and if you just happen to have to SIT there for a while...well, what else are you going to do but read the ads? So, Its probably money fairly well spent. Also, as far as the ice rinks...funny that Big Scott mentioned one in Texas. There is one in Dallas in Grapevine Mills Mall near where I live....wonder if there is where he is tlaking about. Here in Texas, especially in the Dallas area, ice hockey is HUGE. They have tons of rinks all over. A guy I'm dating is a hockey ref so that is how I found out about it. Just fyi....

Dana, rumor has it that some bathrooms in Vegas have slot machines. Not sure how clean the handles are. :P

Dana aka Sunshine:
I think that may be the ice rink that I was referring to! it has been so long that I couldn't exactly recall but, Dallas does sound right. From me and AV, thanks for the reply!

p.s. If you get more serious with this gentleman that you are seeing, maybe you might like to try and win his heart over with a hockey Wallhog. It's the BIGest and best way to show that BIG love (ask my mom come Mother's Day, I'm getting her a 24" reusable vinyl one with my face printed BIG on it!). Besides, Dana, everything is BIGger in Texas anyway. Let me know, I'd love to help!

AV:
They've got slot machines everywhere in Vegas, even in the grocery stores! Not sure if I've seen them in the men's room as of yet but, if I do, I'll be using a 'kleenex' to push the 'BET MAX' button. To tell you the truth, though, I hate to lose money (gamble) so I am not much on that type of Vegas activity (but I do love and miss me some No Limit Texas Hold 'Em like we used to play back home, at my dining room table on Dodge Ave, in New Orleans, the BIG easy- we used to play all night, sometimes a couple of nights in a row; $5-10 games amongst friends is just too fun to resist).

Take care, AV, see you around!
