Skywatch Friday - Bay Views

With the San Francisco Bay Area's unique topography, we have 8 bridges that move the flow of traffic. A few weeks ago, I had a post about the Golden Gate Bridge.
This week, it is the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge also known as the Bay Bridge as seen from San Francisco's Telegraph Hill where its elevation is at 275 ft. (84 m).
It is a beautiful day for sailing.

Also from Telegraph Hill, you can see the new Pier 27 being remodeled for the upcoming America's Cup races this summer.
Two huge viewing stands are where I suspect people will sit to watch the competition.
Afterwards, the building will be used as a new cruise ship terminal.

Visit other Skywatch Friday participants.

Beautiful shot, I love bridges of all types. The sail boats in the foreground are a nice touch.

Looking at the picture reminds me how I once walked over |Golden Gate bridge - it took ages! much further than you would think. I believe it is 1.25 miles long. :D

Those three sailboats in the foreground of your first photo really pop against that blue water! What a gorgeous day - and place - to sail.

Telegraph Hill ~ did you see any wild parrots? :-)

8 bridges are mice because you can take photos from various sides. :)

Indrani: On the really nice days during the summer, there will be even more boats in the water.

Eileeninmd: Thanks and I hope you have a nice weekend too.

Yogi: It is nice timing that they all met there in front of the bridge simultaneously.

Jenny: I read that the length of the Golden Gate Bridge walk is 1.7 miles. It does seem longer on cold and windy days.

Laloofah: As a matter of fact, this was the first time ever that I saw the wild parrots!

cocomino: Other than this bridge and the Golden Gate Bridge, not too many of the other local bridges are photographed.

I think the SF Bay area is one of the most beautiful and photogenic areas I've ever seen. You capture it well!

I don't think I have been up in Coit Tower since they started that renovation, great perspective of the monstrosity.
