These are single surrey vehicles waiting to be rented in San Diego's Balboa Park. Fits 2 people and maybe up to 2 small children in the front "basket" for lack of a better term. A double surrey would have a back bench and can sit another 2 people. They also rent triple surreys or the limousine of surreys. :D

saw this also in the Spanish Village area of Balboa Park, but did not inquire how much to rent. you take very interesting picture of these pedals.

Betchai: The cost for the single surrey is $20 per hour and the double surrey is $30 per hour. It was a slow day so I was lucky they were all parked at an angle.

They have them at one of hotels at Disney...they are pretty heavy, hard to pedal and I enjoyed them more parked...lol

They are certainly quite colorful!

We have a similar one in Malaysia.

That's good for a slow tour.

I love the idea of picking a colour to tour around on heheh!

Very colorful carts, these are harder to pedal then they look, we rented one locally when the kids were younger and it was tough for the two of us to keep that thing going.

Fun way to get around and see the sights, I haven't seen one of these for years!

We saw these in Alki Island in Seattle. They are nice to photograph, I didn't really want to rent one.

I wasn't sure if I was going to see a flower or a bike as the photo uploaded.

That makes sense!

Fun!

Thank you everyone for your comments. I have never ridden one of these so I imagine it would be hard to be in sync to pedal and steer if there are two drivers. As for traffic, these are suppose to be ridden in the park only so hopefully cars and pedestrians will look out for them. I hope they come with a horn.

Must be fun, despite the workout to get on one of those! ;)
