Ice, Ice, Ice, and Snow

What do all these West Yellowstone, Montana eateries have in common?
They are all selling something cold like ice cream or shaved ice.
The outside temperature was in the low 40's with a chance of snow at the time of my visit a few weeks ago.
Business must be tough during the off-season.

Gracious I thought it was summer there - looks like winter. I think shaved ice is also something we won't be needing in cold rainy windy England right now.

Cold weather and ice cream give me goose bumps just thinking about it. I love Yellowstone, it is one of my favorite national parks. Have a great weekend.

I don't mind ice cream in cold weather. But much rather have it right now, with the blistering weather we are experiencing right now.

My father lives not too far from there. He says they have either two seasons, "Winter and the 4th of July' or three seasons, "last winter, this winter, and next winter"

I did take ice-cream in the early spring when I visited Korea.

The feeling was good.

Yes, if it's cold, anyone including me don't buy ice cream.
I love ice cream a lot.

I once tried eating ice-cream in Seoul where the temperature was -10 degree Celcius because a tour member said it would help me beat the cold. He was wrong, it was freezing cold!

Love Yogi's comment - I always heard the in-between seasons were called Mud seasons. Fun shots!

Jenny: I thought it would be a little warmer too, but luckily, we had proper clothes. It was so cold that we could've picked up "shaved ice" on the sidewalk.

eileeninmd: It was lovely despite the weather.

lina: There were people eating ice cream, but mostly indoors with the heater on.

Yogi: Your father must be used to all this wintery weather. Since it doesn't get that hot, I wonder why so many places serve cold desserts.

rainfield61: You must be used to the cold inside and out.

cocomino: I agree in cold weather, I would prefer something hot to eat.

EastCoastLife: That person must be a little crazy, but at least you don't have to worry about the ice cream melting.

La Principessa Errante: Maybe I should have waited for Mud season to visit.

now I know what shaved ice is:-) indeed sunny weather is better for the ice-seller, right?
