These pictures were taken when I was there in December 2011. The skycrapers overlooking Victoria Harbour were lit up with festive Christmas and new year messages. The city streets and famous Temple Street shopping/dining areas were busy. The next night, we visited Hong Kong's Disneyland and waited for the fireworks to start. The "5" at the front of the Cinderella Castle was to signify the park's 5th anniversary.

These are great photos, Karen. It looks ssssoooo exciting! I would love to be in the centre of that. And I'd like to visit Hong Kong Disneyland, because I do wonder how it is different from the Paris and American ones.

Bustling so busily in the bright lit night and fantasy fairy wonderlight, Wonder why they choose to display Western numbers even on the tallest towers?

Wow! Excellent night shots. I like the colors.

caite: The Disney castle rotated to different colors throughout the night.

Jenny: Thank you! The HK Disney seems to be smaller compared to the Disneyland in Calfornia. But, the good part was it wasn't very crowded and the wait for the rides were minimal when I was there. I can't get over Mickey and the other characters speaking in another language other than English.

Sukhmandir Kaur: I guess it's easier to display western numbers because more people recognize it?

eileeninmd: There were so many neon lights so it's hard to miss it especially during the holidays.

Indrani: Even if they are of the same subject, the day and night photos look so different.

The night scenes there are so electric and vibrant. I saw similar scenes in other cities in Asia.

These night are almost same what I had imagined Hong Kong City. Japanese TV often shows such areas.
