It's been more than 50 years since i saw that as a child. Funny how something do not change.

It is funny how you are taking a photo of them inadvertently taking a photo of you!

Great play of sky and stone. Lovely.

Quite the iconic view. I take it you are in DC now? (I did look at the previous post as well.)

WOW excellent shot! Pictures like this makes me crave for a wide angle lens even more hahaha.

Happy WW, come check out my first entry if you will :)

It is so far away, yet so near to me now.

I've never been there but saw so much of this building in movies. I bet it's really differently standing in front of it.

Sukhmandir Kaur: The only thing that's probably changed is the people who visit it on a daily basis.

Alicia: Happy WW! Thanks for dropping by!

Ruby's Raiser: The Washington Monument is behind me thus the people taking pictures in my direction. It's funny how we were all taking pictures at the same time though.

Catsynth: I was in D.C. a few weeks ago and now blogging about it. :)

Life Ramblings: Yes, go to see it if you have the chance. It is huge and lots of steps to walk up.

Maureen: Happy first Wordless Wednesday! Thank you for dropping by. I didn't have a wide angle with me on the trip so I just had to stand further back.

Rainfield61: It is within viewing distance now.

RoseBelle: You are right, the humongous structure is recognizable in many movies. If you sit on the steps, you can see the Reflecting Pool and Washington Monument and probably the Capitol in the distance.

That photo is stunning! I had to look twice becauase at first, I thought it looked like some of the people in the front were playing musical instruments. It is a lovely scene indeed.
