Fort Worth's Old West

A sign enticing visitors to stay at Miss Molly's Hotel, a former boarding house and bordello.

"The Duke" shows you the way to the entrance of Miss Molly's Hotel.

The Star Cafe is below Miss Molly's Hotel.

During my visit to Dallas, TX a few weeks ago, I also made a side trip to Fort Worth, the next city over. Since I didn't have a car, it took over 2 hours using public transportation to get there. It was a highly recommended trip so I'll be sharing some photos with you in another short photo series.

Happy Friday,
AV

I really love the top picture - at first glance I thought she was real.

"Bed and breakfast" seems a bit limited description...

I have lived in the Dallas area for over 10 years and you have probably seen more of Ft. Worth than I have. Maybe your pics will get me to go.

Thanks everyone for your comments.

Ackworth: Thanks! I guess that's how some people are lured into the hotel. :D

Runee: I guess it should've read "Bed, Breakfast, and More..."

Jim: It's not too far away. You just need to spend one afternoon at the Stockyards and downtown.

Becky: It's a fun place if you like westerns.

Lilli & Nevada: Yes, I do like ghost towns although I don't think I have ever been to one. I assure you, this place I visited in Ft. Worth was not a ghost town. Tourists were everywhere even for a weekday.

I like westerns so it would be fun to me. I think my husband might even enjoy it too!
Looking forward to more of these pictures.
