Bird of Prey

I thought this owl I saw at the San Francisco Zoo has beautiful feathers. Looks like he or she was getting a little tired since this is a nocturnal bird of prey.

It looked a bit reserved. BTW -I heard the other day that their reputed "wisdom" was a myth, and probably based on the fact that there faces has a kind of "human" appearance.

There went a lot of fairytales.

Wow! Your blog is great! I love the owl. I made a beaded portrait of a screech owl once, and it's gonna be in an upcoming art exhibit in Sacramento! Anyways, thanks for sharing your photos. Cheers from Boston! :D

Oh, poor thing! It does look tired! (Sort of like me when it's past midnight and I'm still at the computer...)

Owls are very interesting birds, don't you think? And beautiful too!

Splendid photograph, marvellous bird, amazing colours in his plumage! They say a lot of histories for this birds, and good and villains. In this birds I admire for two things, the without their noise technique in the hunting, and their enormous patience!

I've been gone for a couple weeks so I just did a quick review of your pictures. I love all the animals and the crooked play house. That's great that you got to meet Neva.

Everyone: Thank you for commenting. I appreciate your support as usual.

Ally: Haha, I doubt the owl would like to be hugged, but I know what you mean.

Lone Beader: Nice owl you created. I can see why it will be in competition.

How fluffy that owl looks--your photos are great. And the meerkats are wonderful, too.

Beautiful picture. I'm also technical by trade... but I want to be a writer, photographer, or some other artistic type person when I grow up. ;) (or when I retire, which will probably come first lol)
