A Little Bit of Summer

With the cold & dreary weather, I thought I would post a little bit of summer to those suffering from the winter blues. Look, it's the Hula Hawaiian Shave Ice truck.

Stay dry and keep warm!

Nice shot and the best time for it, too!

Thanks for your best wishes for Mama. I can hear her snoring right now--Dramamine has her sleeping very well. I'm off now myself.

You keep warm and dry, too. With this weather, it will take some effort, won't it?

Oh, thanks for Googling Spike's--that hot dog place does sound interesting, especially since their dogs are 100% beef which is the only way I want 'em to be.

Those icy treats wouldn't melt too quickly today.

This is just tooooo funny!....all of our snow has melted and it is now 48*...ahh the weather here in Chicago....the saying goes...if you don't like, just wait a few minutes...it'll change!

You scream, I scream, we all scream for Ice Cream! :)

YUM.....that looks delicious. We live out in the country so we do not see ice cream or even Hawaiin Shave trucks. They do set up a booth at the front doors of Walmart in the summer.

Thanks Lynette. Glad to hear Mama is feeling better. I heard chicken soup is good too.

Runee/Annie/Neva, You're right, that Hawaiian Shave Ice won't melt in this weather. Although we're going to need more straws if we're going to share that flavored ice.

Dot/KML, I agree it's a cute and colorful truck to really attract customers. I like that little wooden idol in the front. Not sure why they keep the windshield shaded.

Andrea, that truck at Walmart must get swamped every summer. That sounds like a smart business person.

Dana, 80 degrees in January while the rest of us are freezing! Glad to hear about Brandon and his guitar.

Ooooo shave ice. I adore it. Wish I was in Hawaii at the Mattseui (I think that is the name.) market. They have the best.

It's 3 deg. Cent. in Kuwait. This pic just brought it down to 2!!!!!!!!

Photowannabe, if you mean the Big Island, I've never been there. Only been to Oahu and Kauai. Thanks for the tip.

Web-OJ, sorry about that. Perhaps, I should have posted a picture of hot chocolate. :)
