Chi Mei Museum

I can tell you the owner must be very rich and have been collecting for a long time. If I may borrow a saying from its website, "At the ChiMeiMuseum, visitors can experience the finest masterpieces from different civilizations and cultures without leaving Taiwan, thus offering a broader view of the world."

The Chi Mei Corporation is one of the largest maker of ABS resin (plastics), as well as acrylic glass, polystyrene, thermoplastic elastomer, synthetic rubber, and Thin Film Transistor-Liquid Crystal Display.

some of the statues look very familiar and very Greek-style. i could recognize David Florence and Nike, from your top photo.
It looks so interesting place. Unfortunately I can't take photos in museums in our country, too.
These are amazing sculptings and look like they came straight from Versailles gardens.
The ones I can see from your photo are all copies. I am wondering if they used the products that they produce to create them giving them a fabulous sales tool. Not a criticism, I think it is terrific when art is brought to the people, copies or not, just wondering.

Beautiful statues, it does seem like an odd place for them though. Great shots.
There are people in the world who are willing to contribute back to the society.
What an unusual place for these great works of art, I can imagine the smell from the plastics plant.
What a strange and interesting juxtaposition. And a fascinating sounding museum. What a strange idea to have it in an industrial area, but also a creative one.
