I'm Baaack
After a long hiatus, I have decided to get back into blogging. I missed that camaraderie with other bloggers and sharing my photos, but I didn't miss the "pressure" of having to update regularly. Although, now that I'm sufficiently well-rested, I have decided to get back into the thick of it minus "ABC Wednesday" participation. Thanks to Neva, Dana, and Lilli for asking about me!
To start it off, I wanted to post one of my favorite statues that I have seen called "Unconditional Surrender". You may recognize it from a famous World War II photo. It is now a 25 ft. statue standing in San Diego harbor greeting sailors as they sail through. Compared to the people standing beside it, you can see the statue's enormousness.

I missed your pictures. Glad your back!!
Oh my GOSH that is a huge statue. I'm glad you gave us the photo with others standing next to it...I'd never have guesssed it was that huge!!!
i have missed you AV. Ya know, I totally concur with your statement about missing blogging and the community of it when I'm not doing it, but NOT missing the pressure.
I have to admit, I'm feeling PRESSURED today. I hadn't checked blogs in about a week and I had been doing soo good since I've been back in making the rounds. But, I'm only getting around to posting maybe once or twice a week and I just hate it. I love blogging, and I love to have a forum to showcase my photos and talk to other people that I've met through here (and feel like I know..) but I hate the pressure. I put it on myself I know, but I don't know to blog and not feel the pressure to read all the posts and comment and then post regularly on mine. If I figure it out, I'll let ya know. But, just to say, I know what you mean!
asorry you are not part of ABC Wednesday anymore. Sad you singled me out to ignore.
Sue & Dana: Thanks for the following. I really appreciate it.
Denise: I am not picking on you personally. ABC Wednesday was the only weekly photo assignment I was participating in. I am mentioning it so readers know I will no longer be involved. I am not saying anything negative about your program because I have met some wonderful bloggers and photographers over the months.
Welcome back!
I had to look twice before I discovered the tiny couple to the left. Fitting with the vavy in the background.
Welcome back, that is one cool statue.
So glad that your back. I have missed your postings, But know what you mean about taking a rest. Although i still try to participate in a couple of the sites this time of yr is very hard for me to get to everyone. Winter is a better time for me.Some however have gotten so big that it is almost impossible to get too everyone. .
Anyway i love that statue it is so life like at first i thought it was real.
Runee/Claire/Lilli: Thanks for the welcoming party. Glad you enjoy the photo of this amazing statue.
