Seagulls at Dinnertime
This picture was taken at the beach recently. At first, I didn't know what the seagull was pecking at until I got closer. Not a very pleasant sight. Although, I thought the seagulls' interactions were a little humorous.
The seagull with the fish seems to be keeping an eye out on his friend in the back who appears to want a taste.
Happy Friday!

Ewwww! I've got to ask ... was dinner fish?
Thanks for your kind comment--I'm having a blast with Portland, my camera, the blogs and y'all.
:) Nature at peace. Rest assured they both had dinner :) Nothing like fresh fish - wrap mine around some rice please.
Sushi bar at the beach! How cool is that? :) Nice photo.
Re: your Q about the Mystic River, no, it isn't close to the Museum of Science. Actually, the Museum sits on the Charles River Dam Bridge which is about 2.5 miles south west of the Mystic River. This map shows both bridges and distance.
Lynette, Yep, that is fish dinner outdoor style.
Isadora, I was thinking the same thing. Sushi or sashimi in this case.
Fenix, thanks for the geography lesson. I confused the 2 bridges. Darn tourist. :) Yeah, the gull is having a feast on Friday fish day.
Well I'm sure he's not going to share. I guess its sushi he's having (that's raw fish isn't it)?
Although the dead fish is not attractive the picture is beautiful.
The 2nd bird is saying "hey, I wanna taste!!"
Mmmm, sushi!
My favorite!

Photowannabe, I can almost see the other bird salivating for the chance of getting at the sushi.
Thanks Andrea. I guess it's just Mother Nature taking care of business.
Dana, the 2nd gull is asking "What's for dinner?"
Oswegan, I love sushi too. I guess it's the choice of birds too.
fenix...to funny....sushis indeed. Cool photo.
Neva, it is sushi bone, scales, and all, but without the bill.
