The Java House

Took a train trip to San Francisco this weekend and had breakfast at The Java House located on Pier 40 of the marina. I heard of this famous landmark many times, but never was able to find street parking or wanted to pay $6 per hour just to eat there.

I love breakfast and a place that serves breakfast all day is my kind of restaurant. My french toast and coffee hit the spot before I continued on my photo journey along the embarcadero.

Dot, I was so anxious to eat my french toast that I forgot to put syrup on it. It didn't occur to me until I was almost done. I guess I was hungry.

Andrea, you've heard about The Java House too! I guess its reputation is nationwide.

I'm glad you got to go to there finally and that it all tasted great! The photos are fun, too. I bet we have some more great photos to look forward to from the rest of the trip.

Lovely little place! Oh, how I wish I could take a weekend train trip to San Francisco, especially this time of year. :)

Lynette, you're right, I did take quite a few pictures during my enjoyable trip. I think that's why my breakfast tasted so good.

Fenix, believe it or not, I hardly go to SF, but you're right, the holiday season is one of the best times to visit and not as cold as Boston.

What a surprise! Although I have not often visited SF (unfortunately), I have eaten there! A friend took me and husband to this wonderful find when we were on a business trip. I noted that you were born in SF; one of the few I've met that have that distinction! I've noted your comments on several of people whom I regularly visit, and I'll be back because I enjoy your photos. Have a good week!

web-oj, There were too many choices on the menu, but french toast is my favorite.

Kate, what a small world! It's funny how you hardly eat in SF, but you've eaten there. There must be others who are born in SF. Haha! Thanks for visiting and come back soon!

Dana, sounds good, but I'll have mine with bacon.
