Memories at the Moving Wall

Continuing the story of my Moving Wall outing...
I don't mean to pry, but some of the items left at the Moving Wall were quite touching like these teddy bears.

The note says she has been missing him for 39 years!

Remembering lost buddies?

This is the truck that hauls The Moving Wall along with a host of other notable items like...

A board that shows the timeline from the start to the end of World War II to...

A board that pays tribute to all the soldiers who gave their lives to fight the global war on terror.

Oh, those soft toys are so sad, they put a personal slant on that terrible list of names.

These have been so touching, and so very hard to view. Thank you for bringing the wall to those of us that weren't able to get to it.

The moving wall is a great idea that reminds us about the past.

But it is very heavy to keep remembering....

that is a very cute present, we visited Manzanar today and had a heavy in the heart after feeling the pain and agony of the Japanese who were thrown away in isolation in the internment camp. Must be sad also to see all these heroes who died for the world's freedom.

I agree with Jenny. The soft toy put there put a personal and touching slant to the walls.

This is a sad reminder of the many lives lost fighting wars. :(

Wow. I'd never heard of the moving memorial before. That is a great idea, especially for people who live so far away from DC. I visited the Vietnam memorial in DC and it really moved me.
