Candy Art

Here a candy sculptor entertained us with her creativity and skillful hands.

She took requests from the audience and in minutes was able to sculpt a different animal or creature out of a block of molten corn syrup.

She showed off her masterpieces after her demonstration.

Are those edible candies? Because seeing how beautifully made those candies are, I wonder if people would still want to eat them.

I'd love to have more information on her art. She is great. It would be a shame to eat one of her creations but wonderful to make to decorate a cake.

Con Artist: Yes, I'm pretty sure the candy is edible. I would probably want to save it, but not sure how long it would last.

Sue: Thank you for being curious. The artist's name is Miyuki and I saw her at Epcot Center last year. I didn't realize how famous she is. If you go to Youtube and look up "Candy Miyuki", she was on the Food Channel and videotaped by many tourists. She even made a book filled with candy pictures. Check it out.

Yeah they look great but what did they taste like???

It would be a shame to eat them so I don't know exactly how they would taste, but I imagine sweet if made from corn syrup.

I was also going to ask if they are edible. They are so pretty but rather than have them gather dust, I think I'd eat mine. I'd start with the tails.
