Sukhmandir Kaur: You have a vivid imagination. I like what you saw.
Ash: It's not a raincoat, but probably made with similar material which is suppose to "inflate" when they ride.
AussiePomm: I am curious what you were thinking. :P
Colleen: Have you heard of the Aeolian Ride? I hadn't either until I saw this. It actually goes on in different parts of the world. Here's what the website says "...52 suits that inflate when 52 people go for a bike ride...The ride changes the ordinary landscape into a moving sculpture paying homage to the bicycle, the riders and the wind." Hope that answers your question.
Life Ramblings: No reason, just plain silliness and to have fun.
scrapchick: It wasn't raining, just silly people wearing inflatable suits and having fun.
Snowcatcher: The suits are made to inflate. I do like taking strange pictures or people doing things out of the ordinary.
Uyen: I'm sure people on the street that day also did double-takes.
Shiju: Thanks, glad to make you laugh.
catsynth: Yes, it was in SJ. I didn't count, but it was suppose to be 52 riders. Why 52? I don't know.
rainfield61: I think they succeeded in making onlookers smile.
Yogi: Nope, it's right in the heart of the Silicon Valley in California.
RoseBelle: I'm not sure what they're made of, but the suits are suppose to inflate when they are riding with the wind. It's suppose to be an artistic display.

awesome. Hope they all finished the race.
That's so funny, it looks like a mummy convention on bicycles or parachutes with faces.
are they wearing raincoats? o_O
I think I will keep what I thought they were to myself... ;)
Mine is up as well at WW Pests, Pets and Petals!
Have a great WW!
It's driving me crazy not to know what's going on!
that's kinda weird. there must be a good reason for wearing such outfits.
Great capture! Take it was raining. lol Happy WW!
Excellent! You were really in the right place, and you must have a quick trigger finger, unless the wind was constant...
I had to do a double take on this pix. It certainly fool me...I thought they were someone else. Great shot!!
Ha ha! Nice fun picture.
I definitely had to zoom in to get a better few of this one. Interesting how they have matching jackets and wind dynamics :) Was this in San Jose?
Funny but interesting!!
Interesting, I thought it was like in the Middle East or something but no.
