  1. Viewing the dome from its interior looks like a single structure until you look at the wooden models that it is 3 separate structures. The dome is 307.5 feet high; 19 feet taller than the Capitol dome in Washington, D.C.

  11. The SF city hall dome is quite impressive. I can see it from the roof of my building. It does look like it should be a national capital.

  13. I have always found domes fascinating. I have been up in the one in the CA state capital, and it is constructed the very same way. - Great shots of the model - and a gorgeous model to boot.
