N is for Nature Scenes on ABC Wednesday

Japanese Garden in Portland, OR

On the road to Lake Tahoe during an April snowstorm

Rancho San Antonio Park in Los Altos, CA

I had several choices for N photos this week and I finally decided on different Nature Scenes I have photographed through the years.

Fellow ABC Wednesday Photograhers, we are now on the 14th letter of the alphabet. I hope we keep this going even after the last letter.

I may be in trouble when we get to the last few letters of the alphabet, but till then, I'm enjoying ABC Wed tremendously! Nice pics, do u take breaks to re-visit nature often? I like that too, but then I always hurry back to the city once I've had enough.

  2. I love them all, but the last one is my favourite.

Yes, I am one for keeping this going and yes, the final letters will be fun! I have captured my X a few weeks back! LOL! I need a life!

  3. #2 is my favourite - some of us started our ABC late - mine was K -- it'll take six months to get through the whole alphabet so no reason not to follow Z with A

I'm always in awe of people who can take great nature shots like these. I find it a too big of a scope to frame up in my lens.
    Totally gorgeous pics.

  13. Deb, I love visiting nature sites. Unfortunately, I don't always get the opportunity, but it sure takes me away from the hustle & bustle of the big city.

  15. Ackworth, you're right, it does take 6 months to get through the whole alphabet, but the Q's, X's, and Z's are hard to come by twice.

  22. Hi Jean, great minds do think alike. But, some weeks, I have to look in the dictionary for something that fits.

  23. Neva, this sure has been an interesting and fulfilling weekly assignment. Some weeks are harder than others. It really forces you to take pictures.

  25. Thanks for these great N is for Nature Scenes photos. I have a super shot of that bridge in the Japanese Garden here in Portland, with Mama standing just about in the middle. I took it in the summer of 2004 during our first visit.

A to the V! Hey, buddy, sorry for being a stranger, been getting home from the "9-5" too tired to visit my fiends' blogs, much less take care of my own. Some more great pics you got here! The japanese tea garden in Oregon looks as beautiful as the jap tea garden in San Francisco. The image from Lake Tahoe looks as though it belongs on a wall, framed up. And, the last one, from the Rancho San Antonio Park in Los Altos reminds me of some of the trails in Gatlinburg, TN.

Have a wonderful weekend, AV, I am headed to Vegoose in a few hours to listen to some good music and, hopefully, eat some good food! See ya!
