Artist painted buffalo statues displayed throughout the town of West Yellowstone, Montana. Originally there were 27 adult buffaloes and 10 calves when they were unveiled in 2007. Over the years, many were auctioned off and 11 remain when I visited in May. For more information, see http://www.wyed.org/roamart.htm

A smaller city had this a few years ago with horses. I only got to see a few of them & never in a position to get photos. Some traveled to different business locales in the city & some where bought. thanks for sharing, wonderful works of art.

Each one an amazing work of art even without all the color and scenes.

Fun and creative. I particularly like the "recursive buffalo" which has several smaller versions painted on it.

They have no sky to paint, so they paint on buffaloes.

Love these - I know that this is a popular fundraiser around the world, but sometimes the town's "shape' don't always work for me. These are wonderful.

Very artistic, we had a similar thing in Munich but with lions.
