Sure enough, we checked on Sunday morning, the second egg hatched. The momma bird did not even get a chance to dispose the shells yet.
The baby born on Saturday is noticeably larger in size. This is how they looked like on Sunday evening. Both have shifted from their morning position and even in opposite directions from each other. Both back in the same position on Monday morning and you can see a little more feather on each, but their eyes still appear to be closed.- Karen

That's quick..just saw the first one hatch this morning and now the second one. Btw, I hope you are not using flash on your camera as it may harm the birds delicate eyes. I can't wait to see how the birds look like in a few days.
what a thrill to see and capture these shots. you've a beautiful backyard and glad to see them from your camera's eye!
Awww, that is so gorgeous. You are right - the second one is much bigger! I hope they both fare well.
Just pay more attention, they will fly away when you are not around.
Cheers.
Awww... both baby bird hatched. ^-^
Pretty soon they'll be flying off from the nest.
RoseBelle: Good point about the flash. I'll remember that for next time.
LifeRamblings: It's not something you see everyday.
Emm: Me too. The momma bird has a watchful eye and checks up on them often.
Rainfield61: They have not yet opened their eyes yet. I will have to pay more attention once they become more active.
Lina: Yes, only another week or two, I will not be able to tell them apart from another hummingbird.
How truly special to witness this. And, what fantastic captures.
