Getting Wide
With my standard lens, I would only be able to capture a portion of the lobby entrance to the California Academy of Sciences Museum in San Francisco. I could not show you the "whole picture" or its enormity.
As a newly remodeled building, the floor-to-ceiling windows allows in more natural lighting for energy efficiency.
In general, I think people prefer luminous surroundings than a dreary and dark setting.
What do you think?

The Academy of Sciences is the world first 'green' museum and of course a magnificent architecturally built building. There is so much to see and learn that everyone should visit it in person.
A dining area with natural and bright lighting is definitely better than a dimmed area. Hope you had a wonderful time at the academy!
I wish I have a wider angle lens. There's a new Canon 15-85mm.
I thought Canon 15-85mm is a standard lens.
It comes together with any Canon camera.
Rose Belle: I did enjoy the museum immensely. It is quite different than the old museum although there were a few exhibits I remembered as a kid.

That is a great angle with the DeYoung in the background. That dining area is huge and with the glass and natural lighting it looks even brighter.
