Beauty In The Fog
I am quite sure this is a beautiful spot overlooking Kunming Lake at the Summer Palace, Beijing. The paddle boats in the foreground were grounded due to the lack of visibility.
While doing research on the internet for this post, I saw a lot of beautiful scenery at this location; but alas, it was beyond my grasp.

You have grasped it once, I have yet had mine.
I think the fog worked to your advantage in your top pic, it's a lovely, evocative shot.
We don't get fog here...unless it's up in the highlands where the weather is cooler.
What a big contrast! You should have prayed for a clearer day, haha!
Rainfield61: After visiting there once, I don't know if I will ever make it out there again. I hope your turn comes soon.
Ruby's Raiser: That is an optimistic view. Thanks! :)
Mei Tang: You are lucky. It could be just smog from the working industries in the area.
Jam: It actually snowed after a day or two after I left, so I could not complain too much about the fog. :)
The foggy appearance is beautiful just like the summer palace dream
