During my visit, one gentleman was terrified to walk across so my friend held his hand and safely made it to the other side, but I hope he made it back across.

Yeah, this is a very cool perspective. I have trouble with open grate bridges. I was in Chicago this summer and practically ran across a foot bridge (open grate) leading away from Millennium Park. Scary!
I love that kind of subjects - just wish there were more of them.
Did you get dizzy looking up? I would have.
