Hot Dog Stands

If you have ever eaten at a "Hot Dog on a Stick" location, this was its first stand opened at Santa Monica's Muscle Beach back in 1946.
I'm not a hot dog fan, but I love their lemonade. You can see the lime lemonade, original lemonade, and cherry lemonade dispensers through the window. The green one might be appropriate for today.
For more about this franchise, click here.

I saw this quaint little stand in Solvang, CA during my last trip. I couldn't find too much information about it on the internet, but I thought the signs on its windows tell the story. Click on the picture for a larger view.

Happy St. Patrick's Day,
Karen

Solvang? That name sounds as much as a Norwegian name as anything I could thing of! But I have never heard of Hod Dog on a stick. Sounds kind of special.

PS Thank you for the comments. The lens I used was a Canon EF 70-300mm IS at 300mm on my Canon 40 D (on a tri-pod of course). It was taken as RAW, cropped and processed in PS CS3.

Still, the pictures are worth a million words. I like hot dogs. I still remember my days in New york tasting these green papaya hotdogs!
