I found my Q when I was visiting Ft. Worth last month. While walking around town, I noticed this blocked off memorial in front of a hotel. I thought this was odd and decided to go in for a closer look and discovered my Q for Quanah Parker who became a Comanche Chief.

What an excellent Q you have found this week.
I love "letters with a history" - thank you for teaching me!
Quanah - a hero
Comanches - a heroic people.
The winner takes it all.

ABC Wednesdays make us keep observant. I love reading all the historical markers. Thanks for sharing this one.
I chose to use nearby Quadra Island for Q. It is a fun vacation destination that you can see by clicking here. – Margy
Amazing what we can learn from the photoblogs. Thanks for the interesting and informative post. Who knew , a Comanche named Parker.
Great historical Q post and lovely photos.
Very nice post for the letter Q. Don't you love it when the opportunity for a photo just happens like this?
Now THIS is original for "Q". I love it when you find something that really works! Nicely done, K.
Gee, this was really interesting and lucky you to have come upon it just before we were up to Q. Great information here! :D
