Mission San Juan Bautista - Part 2

Close up of the main altar. In case you're curious, the 3 top statues from left to right are St. Anthony of Padua, St. Dominic de Guzman, and St. Francis of Assisi. The bottom 3 statues from left to right are St. Isadore of Madrid, St. John the Baptist, and St. Pascal Baylon.

This is the mission's gift shop. It was originally a storeroom. In 1847, it was a temporary home for the Breen family who survived the Donner Party tragedy.

I can't really call the inside beautiful or maybe I just don't like that style but it's certainly unusual looking.
I found it interesting that survivors of the Bonner party lived there.

Cassie: Two of my favorite hobbies are photography and traveling. I wish I can figure out how to get paid for it. Thanks for commenting.

Dot: For me, this mission is definitely unusual with the statues all lit up. I'm not quite sure why some of the Donner Party survivors sought refuge there. Interesting fact though.
