G is for Garbage Cans for ABC Wednesday

I saw these interesting garbage cans at the local children's zoo a few weeks ago, but I think a few look downright scary to little kids.

If you are interested in seeing more ABC Wednesday photos or participating, go to Mrs. Nesbitt's Place blog.

We have some critter garbage cans along our intercommunity pathway. they aren't nearly as scary as these.

Hope you visit mine also Thanks.

I wonder if they encourage people to drop in their waste products more than regular cans do. Or maybe they just look nicer along the walkways than plain old cans do. ;-)

except for the dolphin and the frog, the bins look scary even for me. but it is a great idea to disguise it in such a way.

Nice array of cans. Something along these lines (more botanical) might be nice for the garden.

I especially like the black tongue on the alligator.

What cool garbage cans. Makes throwing away garbage fun. :-)

I like the dog ones - easy to post the trash without getting dirty hands. Great idea.

All garbage cans are very cute. I would be great if there are some of them in Thailand. They can encourage people to drop their garbage.

Cheers,

Thanks everyone for your feedback. I agree having cool cans will entice people not to litter. It seems most people agree the frog and dolphin are the cutest. I still have to say the first photo of the dog with yellow eyes and blue bags under its eyes and the blue alligate with the red tongue are the most disturbing.

Feefifoto: Thanks for the ugly mailbox link.

That gold bear was taken in Sacramento but don't remember were, i took the shut driving down the road, there were two of them but only got the one.Sorry i wanted to respond to you, you can delete this from here

Well, if it is a zoo, the animals fit in perfect. Just because they have their mouth open for the trash to be thrown in doesn't make them scary -- just hungry for your garbage. I loved them!

Wow! How creative! And scary--I agree.

About the circles on my window, they're made of something that feels and looks like Jello but it's not, of course. You can put them where you want, however you want. I guessed that window would be the right place, and it turned out to be the best place because we often pull up the blinds.

I love that dolphin! All zoos should have trash cans like those.

Wow! They really liven things up a bit! Great G post!!

Those are really cute! What a great idea to draw little ones in. the frog and dolphin are the best, I think. The last one would be a little scary.

If I had any one of those, I'll make sure I have something to throw at least every hour.

Thank you for your visit.
Le foie gras is a polemical subject, but really delicious !
These decorated garbage cans are gorgeous !
Children are sometimes scared by things which seem to us insignifiant:I remember that my son was afraid the first time he saw ...clowns , and the first time he went on a merry -go-round

Ambush101: They should make recycle cans like this so more people would recycle.

Miss Yves: I'm still afraid of clowns. Has your son ever gotten over that? :D
