We have been experiencing really warm weather during the last few weeks of winter and the temperatures have really been taking off.
This small busy municipal airport in Palo Alto, California is where many pilots take off and store their planes as well as where many students learn how to fly.
You can walk to the end of the runway and watch the planes take off or land.
All pilots are asked to watch out for birds who reside at the nature preserve right to the airport.

Nice Skywatch! Looks like the nature preserve has lots of flights taking off and landing too!
ReplyDeleteWonder if the pilots can actually avoid hitting a bird if they spot one? Great skywatch post!
ReplyDeleteCool shots of the plant taking off. And I love the shot of the birds too. Have a happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteThe color of the sky is nice Many birds inspire me a lot
ReplyDeleteNice shots, I especially love the first one, for the color of the sky and how your froze the propellers.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Yogi, I really like the first one. It is an angle that many of us never see. Nice work.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots, I always enjoy the sight of planes landing or taking off.
ReplyDeleteWOW great captures!
ReplyDeleteWonderful flight photo-series - both the plane and birds!
ReplyDeleteHow we disturb these birds!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots!
Wonderful shots of the plane taking off. But I loved the bird shot the most!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend :)
Those are some great shots, I knew the nature reserve was there, but had no idea the birds had that kind of impact on the airport. Interesting.
