  1. Wow! An ancient "Verbal Cuisinart"! (If a Cuisinart is a food processor, then a word processor must be a verbal Cuisinart, right?!)
    ;-D

  3. What a great find, an antique manual typewriter! These can be fun to see and try out. And they do get used sometimes in art pieces.

  7. Pretty Life: Wow, I'm glad to hear everyone knew what it was.

Louis: First time I've heard that phrase.

Lina: It is an ancient piece of equipment. My parents had one and I used to type my book reports on it.

Catsynth: I wonder if you can still buy ribbons for it. If not, it would only be an art piece.

    Sailor: Endangered and a beauty!

Rainfield61: Does it bring back memories?

Yogi: The screen is the paper that you manually roll up. LOL!

Carol: This one was on display used by the former newspaper columnist Herb Caen. My parents might still have one of these in their closet somewhere.

gtyyup: I'm sure it would have lots to say or type.

Ryan: I remember those messy bottles. Before Tipex, there was the rubber erasers that left all those flakes behind.

  8. I an not sure if this is the right place to reply to your question on my post.

No we didnt sail on the Star of India...just visited it. We don't get much time in between and we usually make the tours quick.

Thanks for visiting me and the comments.

  12. Ah, this picture takes me back a bit.

Once upon a time, I use to have a very similar typewriter when I was a wee kid, I think I got it from my grandad. Wish I still had it they make for great ornamental pieces.
