Candy Art
Here a candy sculptor entertained us with her creativity and skillful hands.
She took requests from the audience and in minutes was able to sculpt a different animal or creature out of a block of molten corn syrup.
She showed off her masterpieces after her demonstration.- Karen
Are those edible candies? Because seeing how beautifully made those candies are, I wonder if people would still want to eat them.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to have more information on her art. She is great. It would be a shame to eat one of her creations but wonderful to make to decorate a cake.
ReplyDeleteCon Artist: Yes, I'm pretty sure the candy is edible. I would probably want to save it, but not sure how long it would last.
ReplyDeleteSue: Thank you for being curious. The artist's name is Miyuki and I saw her at Epcot Center last year. I didn't realize how famous she is. If you go to Youtube and look up "Candy Miyuki", she was on the Food Channel and videotaped by many tourists. She even made a book filled with candy pictures. Check it out.
Such lovely pieces, it's a shame to eat them.
ReplyDeleteThis is appropriate as a new year show.
ReplyDeleteThat is brilliant she is very talented, it would be a shame to eat them though after the work she put in.
ReplyDeleteHave a peaceful weekend
i usually just look at the candy art since they look so great i feel guilty eating them :)
ReplyDeleteYeah they look great but what did they taste like???
ReplyDeleteIt would be a shame to eat them so I don't know exactly how they would taste, but I imagine sweet if made from corn syrup.
ReplyDeleteThis would be very fascinating to see!
ReplyDeleteI was also going to ask if they are edible. They are so pretty but rather than have them gather dust, I think I'd eat mine. I'd start with the tails.
ReplyDeletesuch great art work. they 're definitely too beautiful to eat.
