Light House

This is a model of the historical Placer County Courthouse in Auburn, California. The city came into height of popularity during the gold rush era of the 1850's. Today, the building is a museum and open to the public where you can see this beautiful replica and learn about the history of the area.

P.S. I will be out of town for a week and will respond to you upon my return. Thank you for visiting.

  7. Rainfield61: You can say I was at a place where houses "light up". :)

Johnson: It is quite impressive with all the details.

Betchai: Since I was there during the day, I wonder if the real building lights up like that.

Ryan: Since it was a courthouse before and now a public museum, you can say lots of vagabonds have been through there.

Catsynth: Thanks. It was a little tough getting the picture in low light and behind glass.

Life Ramblings: I love old buildings. It's nice to see it remodeled and opened to the public.

Emm: Thanks! I like quaint places too. Some more interesting than the more touristy spots.
