  6. That's quite a sand sculpture. I pushed around a little sand myself last weekend with a similar idea in mind, but certainly nothing to that extent. Happy WW

  10. Extraordinary! That takes SO much more work than a plain, upside-down bucket castle!

  11. Wow, that is very impressive.
(So much work to simply be washed back into the sea.)

  18. Deb: It was part of an annual sandcastle building contest and everyone had 4 hours to build their masterpieces.

And Miles To Go: I agree. Every team had a San Francisco theme although I don't remember a dragon here. :)

AussiePomm: From the hands of sand sculpting artists. It's amazing to see them work. From sand into art.

Au and Target: It takes lots of skills and imagination.

Caite: Thanks. Keep trying, practice makes perfect?

Sukhmandir Kaur: Did you take a photo of your sculpture? We want to see what you built.

betchai: I didn't know there are sculpture workshops. This particular sculpture was a team effort.

FrugalMom: Maybe this one will inspire you to make your next sand sculpture.

    scrapchick: Thanks! Happy WW!

Snowcatcher: It did take lots of buckets of sand to make that mound which eventually became the head of the dragon.

catsynth: It was a lot of work by the teams. It would be interesting to see how long it stayed up without it being disturbed.

rainfield61: It is permanent until the wind and rain comes.

lina: I took photos of more, so stay tuned for my next post.

steve from bethere2day: Thanks for dropping by.

Poetic Shutterbug: This was happening in San Francisco, probably very close to your neighborhood last weekend.

EastCoastLife: There were 20+ teams and each sculpture had to have a San Francisco theme. This particular team was very creative to come up with this design.

Dazediva: I guess the possibilities are endless when working with sand and water.
