Rising to 14 feet (4.5 meters) high, the girl befriends a 23 feet (7.2 meters) tall terra-cotta warrior in a fantasy presentation during the 2008 Olympic Games. Click here if you haven't seen the very unique marionette performance.
After the Olympics was over, both of these giants were housed at the Terra-Cotta Army Museum in Xian. In the first picture, you can see how they dwarf all the visitors below.
Wonder what's the significant of a Xian soldier holding a little girl's hand? Maybe the past meets the present kinda idea? I love the Qin dynasty. Would love to visit the terra cotta museum and the First Emperor's mausoleum one day.
I've come across an article about the Terra-Cotta Museum. Interesting. It's traveling counterpart came here in Houston, but I missed it. Good capture!lentig

ReplyDeleteYvi: It is amazing standing next to them. I wished I could've have seen them move.
Rainfield61: As so am I.
RoseBelle: You are correct, it is about past meets present and to spread friendship. The museum is huge and still so much more to uncover...
poeple are not only dwarfed, they are mesmerized!
