Grand Opening

I attended a toy store grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony this weekend.

Employees and characters line up to welcome their first customers into the store. It was quite an impressive sight.

  4. I bet when the kids came in they wanted to talk to the cartoon characters. I am sure the parents wanted to rush in for the bargains.

OMG, my kids would have nightmares from cartoon character overload! That is pretty cool, though. :)

  7. I took the 2nd photo right before the first customers came through the doors. Since the grand opening happened Friday morning, most of the kids were in still in school. But, Saturday was a mob scene with kids and strollers everywhere!

Lilli & Nevada: Oh yes, I had tons more pictures. :)

Edmund: Winnie-the-Pooh was there. Sorry you couldn't see him in the phot.
Lina: The kids loved Dora and the Spiderman who didn't show up until the next day.

Andrea: You are correct, the parents were after the bargains, but some forced their freightened kids to take pictures with the characters. Poor kids.

Pete: I think it was the kids who led the parents to the store. Some of these characters stood outside to attract customers.

  13. Anna: I was never into Dora probably because I don't have kids. I guess she's quite popular.
