I was at a local museum last month and saw these stairs in front of me. In my mind, this area was begging to be photographed. Although I would've liked one lower to the ground, but I think security might have taken me away if I was to lay on my stomach for the shots.
I'm taking an online photography course at a local junior college and part of self-introduction to the class, we had to describe what types of subjects we like to photograph. I had to ponder that for awhile... I guess I decided on "unusual", "architectural", and "travel".
What types of pictures do you like to take?

Wow, the perspective on that one is INCREDIBLE. It was ABSOLUTELY begging for a picture to be taken. I might have considered getting on the ground...ha ha.
ReplyDeleteHey AV, I'm also going to be signing up to take an on-line photography course at MY local junior college too!! I feel like such a copy cat! If we traveled together, we'd never get anywhere because we'd have to stop to take pictures every five steps!!!
You know I like to take pics of flowers, my kiddo and jumping shots of course :)
Thanks Dana! This museum was strict and I'm sure laying on the floor would've have been grounds for expulsion. One guard came up to me and said I should hold my camera bag a certain way. I remember reading this on the rules to avoid any accidental knocking over of art pieces.

Even if experimental, you achieved a good photograph with a lot of positive elements.
ReplyDeleteThe frame includes the subject as should, has a lot of level and this strengthens the prospect, the tones grey many.
Generally a pleasant subject, from the corner of reception that you shot.

Those stairs do seem rather formidable. Think of the person who is frail, looking up.

ReplyDeleteDot, thank you for your kind comments. I did freelance photography for awhile, but I'm far from a pro. Yes, you can take online photography courses and lots of schools offer them.

ReplyDeleteAnnie, there are also elevators so a frail person won't have to tackle those stairs. I also like photographing people, but most people don't like strangers taking their photos.

pictures of mother and child pictures of happy and sad moments in my and other people lives
etc..
