You've nailed it! Today, in honor of America's vets, I have a holiday from work. With rain predicted, I decided to sleep in. My brother didn't know that, way down there in Mississippi, so he called to ask me if we were getting a bad storm--at 7:30 a.m. when he knows I'm usually on my way to work. That little cell phone woke me right up. Still and all, I enjoyed our conversation, I've got a load of wash into the dryer already, I've been blogging, and I'm about to eat breakfast. It is raining, and we're getting a bit of wind--the coast is where the storm's supposed to blow the worst.
Sorry I've gone on and on--you'd think I've had caffeine but I'm not a coffee drinker.
About my taking photos when I drive, I either pull over to the side of the road or into a parking lot, or I wait for a stop sign or a red light. If none of that happens, I out of luck for that perfect photo op!
Fenix, this picture of a meerkat was taken at the zoo with a telephoto lens. I guess they're used to people hovering over them. They do look like prairie dogs.
Ellis, do you want a 5 minute snooze or a meerkat? Haha! I wouldn't mind a meerkat myself. As a kid, I always wanted a monkey, but all these critters are very naughty and can get into trouble all the time.
Perfect picture! And it's 6pm Monday here in Oz!
ReplyDeleteGreat to see you're coming up to 5000 hits. Way to go!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a varmint to me.
ReplyDeleteDarn lazy vermin.

I know how you feel about needing some more sleep.

How did you get that close to this fellow? That's a prairie dog, isn't it?
ReplyDelete:) Do I know how he feels :)
ReplyDeleteDavid, I guess you got a head start on us. I hope you had a great beginning to your week.
ReplyDeleteOswegan, Yep that lazy varmint doesn't have a time clock to punch. Just eat, sleep, and play all day.
ReplyDeleteMike, Every weekend should be a 3 days instead of only 2. HeeHee!
ReplyDeleteLynette, Always look forward to your comments. Well at least you got an early start on your day, but on stormy days, I would rather just stay in bed.

ReplyDeleteIsadora, I guess Monday mornings are not well-liked by humans or animals!
ReplyDeleteCute! I imagine many of us feel the same way.
ReplyDeleteDot, this little critter doesn't look too happy no matter what time she was awaken. :P
ReplyDeleteI want one of these
