Closed for the Season

A deserted McDonald's kiosk stands alone in the fog and cold. During the height of the warm tourist season in Shanghai, this place must come alive with laughing children and smiling visitors.

It is winter season now, no ice cream for sale and no tourists to wander by.

I have tried ice cream in the winter when I was in Korea.

It tasted good.

That looks like a very different kind of McDonald's than we have here. They tore down the McDonald's near me. One day it was open, and the next day it was gone. That fast.

is there something on their menu that's unique to shanghai? for example, the mcdonald's in the philippines has fried chicken combo meals with RICE. we are a rice-loving nation...so are the chinese, right?

Fortuitous Faery: Unfortunately, I did not go to any McDonald's when I was in Shanghai and this one you saw in the pictures was closed. I do know that the McDonald's in Japan, Singapore, and even Hawaii did have unique food.
